Designed a community-driven platform that helps educators connect, share solutions, and reduce friction in their daily workflows.

My Role:
Head of Product
Teachers face a patchwork of tools, but few support real collaboration or peer connection.
The challenge: design a space where teachers could grow, support one another, and share what truly works in the classroom. Guided by teacher insights, I:
Designed mobile-first screens in Figma
Built a reusable UI system for scalability
Structured architecture around teacher mental models
Wrote UX copy to reinforce brand voice and reduce friction
Accessibility, clarity, and trust guided every decision. Iteration with stakeholders and testing across devices shaped the final experience.

Lumia launched with a responsive interface designed to scale with its users.
Key features:
Personalized discovery feed for sharing and browsing resources
Subject- and grade-level groups with dedicated content and events
Lightweight 1:1 Matchups for targeted peer support
Peer-led event infrastructure for community-led growth
The result: an intuitive platform that feels approachable and practical for day-to-day teaching—brought to life through user-centered design, systems thinking, and hands-on execution.

“I’ve worked with many designers before, but this experience was on another level. The attention to detail and thoughtful approach made the process smooth and enjoyable.”
